Did it work?
Every estimate, dated and kept. Then we check.
Every time we show an evaluator's estimate, we keep a permanent, dated copy of it and set a date to look again. When that date comes, we record whether the evaluator's later work confirmed the estimate, revised it, or couldn't be checked. Records are only ever added, never edited.
Record
An exact copy of the published estimate, its source and the date.
Wait
Evaluators update their figures as new studies and monitoring data arrive.
Re-check
We compare the record with what the evaluator says next, and publish the result.

Modeled, not guaranteed. These are the evaluators' estimates of the average, not measured results. Lives saved and wellbeing are different kinds of good, so they are kept apart and never added together. Re-checks begin on the dates shown; nothing has been re-checked yet.
The whole record book
One fingerprint for every record
Each record carries a fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) that would change if it were edited, and it includes the fingerprint of the record before it. So the fingerprint of the newest record covers all of them: if any record were changed, removed or reordered, this would no longer match. We publish it here and in our public data, so anyone can keep a copy and hold us to it.
